This study investigated climate induced distresses patterns on airfield pavements at US Air Force installations. A literature review and surveys of Pavement Condition Index indicated that the predominant factor contributing to the development of pavement distress was climate. Results suggested that, within each type of pavement distress, a geographic pattern exists which is Cited by: 1.   The largest advantages to using concrete pavement are in its durability and ability to hold a shape. TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Synthesis Pavement Management Applications Using Geographic Information Systems examines the state of the practice and knowledge of pavement management systems (PMS) using geographic information systems (GIS) and other spatial technologies, and discusses how the technologies have been.

A variety of material constitutive models such as linear elastic, nonlinear elastic, and viscoelastic are employed in the analyses to describe the behavior of the pavement materials.

Finite-element modeling of pavements, if validated, can be extremely useful, because it can be used directly to estimate primary response parameters without. aggregate base layers, and foundation improvements. Specific types of flexible pavement systems that may be analyzed include conventional flexible sections, deep strength sections, full-depth sections, and semi-rigid sections (refer to Figure 6 and 7 under subsection ).

The definition for each of these pavement systems was included in. Similar Items.
